Adding Wave device to Fibaro

There’s several ways that you can add the devices to the Fibaro HC3 gateway, using SmartStart Node Provisioning List.

From the Home menu (main dashboard) look for the + Add device button
Open Settings Menu by selecting the settings icon located in the bottom left side, by default you will be in the Device settings menu, from there select the + Add device blue button.

In this step, you will be prompted to select the type of device you wish to add, choose Z-Wave Device.

S2 secure inclusion (adding)

S0 secure inclusion (adding)

By default, the highest security mode inclusion is selected. If you want to proceed with this option, simply click "Start", and the Wave device will be included under Secure S2 mode
If you prefer the S0 inclusion method, you can select it by accessing the Advanced options, located at the bottom-right corner.

In the following menu deselect the S2 checkbox and click start.

Regardless of the previous selection you made, the next screen will remain consistent. Here, you will be prompted to initiate the Learn Mode, allowing you to begin adding the device.

S2 secure inclusion (adding) / no secure inclusion

S0 secure inclusion (adding)

If you opt for the secure S2 inclusion method, you will be prompted to verify the DSK (Device Specific Key) numbers and enter the corresponding PIN (Personal Identification Number), which consists of the first 5 digits of the DSK.

At  this point, you have the option to include the device  without enabling a  secure mode. By  entering " 00000" in the initial field, the device will be added to the gateway without activating the secure mode.

When selecting the secure S0 inclusion method, the device will initiate the pairing process. Subsequently, the gateway will display a notification window indicating that the integration is currently undergoing Security Bootstrapping.

Shortly after, the next phase of the integration process will commence, which involves conducting interview of the device. At this point, the gateway system will send the notification about it.

After the interview successfully concludes, you will be presented with the results. In this section, you will discover a comprehensive list of the device components detected by the gateway during the interview process. You will also have the opportunity to assign a name to each of these components.

Please take note that the warning sign will only be visible if the device was added without secure inclusion, which entails entering '00000' instead of the PIN number. It's worth mentioning that the Shelly Wave device functions correctly under non-secure inclusion conditions.

Once all the names, rooms, and roles have been configured, the devices will be added into the primary dashboard.
