How to change a devices Edge Driver in SmartThings

If you have already a Shelly Wave device added in SmartThings you can change the edge driver following the a step by step guide on how to do so.

Step by step guide to change the Edge driver using the SmartThings app.

1. Open SmartThings app
2. Open the Z-Wave device's page, look for the device in the devices tab in one of your rooms.
3. Select the device by pressing on it (in our example the Shelly Wave Pro 2PM) and press the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
4. In the newly opened menu click on "Driver" option.
5. Press on "Select different driver"
6. You can now change the driver to a compatible custom driver here.

Step by step picture guide to change the Edge driver using the SmartThings app.

1. Open SmartThings app

2. Open the Z-Wave device's page, look for the device in the devices tab in one of your rooms.

3. Select the device by pressing on it (in our example the Shelly Wave Pro 2PM) and press the three vertical dots in the top right corner.

4. In the newly opened menu click on "Driver" option.

5. Press on "Select different driver"

6. You can now change the driver to a compatible custom driver here, in our case Z-Wave Switch.

1. Using any web browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, etc.), login to: my.smartthings.com
2. Tap the 3-dot icon (top right corner)
3. Select Advanced User
4. Click on "Devices" on the left toolbar:
5. Then select the device you want to change the edge driver of under "DEVICE LABEL":
6. Find the section labelled "Driver" with a drop-down box under it and click on the drop-down box to expose all compatible drivers you can change it to.
7. Selecting a driver will immediately change the driver that specific device uses.
