The Wave devices can be used without a switch or button connected to it. Follow the device specific wiring but omit the connection of the switches / buttons. You don't need to set any parameter for that. Using this method you will be able to control the device only from the UI of the gateway - platform.
Note: You will need to add or remove the device to the gateway using the S button in this cases.
