The setup process connects your phone to the Shelly device's Wi-Fi, configures it via a local web page, updates its firmware, and finally, integrates it into the Shelly app for seamless control. Follow these steps:
Connect to the Shelly’s Wi-Fi Access Point: Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and select the network that appears as ShellyModelName-541268176fa1. It’s normal if a "No internet" message appears.
Access the Device's Local Web Page: Open a browser on your phone and enter 192.168.33.1. This will take you to the device's local configuration page.
Configure Wi-Fi Settings: In the device's local page, navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi, and enter the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password you want the Shelly device to connect to. Ensure it’s a 2.4 GHz network for compatibility.
Update Firmware: Go to Settings > Firmware and update the device to the latest firmware version available for optimal performance.
Reconnect to Your Regular Wi-Fi Network: Once the Shelly is set up, reconnect your phone to your usual Wi-Fi network.
Add the Device to the Shelly App: Open the Shelly Smart Control app, tap the plus (+) button, and select Scan network. When your device appears, tap Add Device and follow the prompts to complete setup.
