This troubleshooting guide is for users who had a successful connection to the Cloud API for their Shelly devices but found that it stopped working after some time. Follow the steps outlined below to verify and adjust the server configuration assigned to the customer.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Verify the Assigned Server

When a customer experiences issues with controlling Shelly devices via the Cloud API, the first step is to verify the actual server to which the customer is assigned.

Log into the Shelly Smart Control application. Navigate to the account settings and then Authorization cloud key

2. Adjust Configuration

Once you have identified the server to which the customer is assigned, you may need to adjust the configuration to resolve the issue.

Update the server settings if the server assignment is incorrect or auth_key in case of changed password. Ensure that the server URL are correctly specified.

3. Test the Configuration

After making the necessary adjustments, test the configuration to ensure that the Cloud API is functioning correctly.

Perform test API calls to control the Shelly devices and monitor the response to ensure successful command execution.
