What does "dry contacts" mean on the Shelly 1 ,Shelly Plus 1?

 "Dry contacts" refer to the ability to connect one type of voltage for powering the device (such as 12V, 24-60V DC, or 110V-230V AC) and another type of voltage for switching the load.
